The author has a degree in Communication Sciences, that is the closest choice she could make _at the time_ to her passion: art. She has also studied a Masters in Anthropology focusing on Visual Anthropology.

Carola has lived and studied in North America, England and Chile. She has also travelled around Europe, Central and South America. As an avid traveller she went to India (one of her dearest dreams) in 2012 and has just got back from Argentina.

Carola’s main interests are photography, painting, design, fashion design, interior design, visual arts in general but not so general and beautiful music among other artistic manifestations. Her photographs have won competitions in England at the University of Bath. She has also exhibited her work in various cities in her home country, Peru.

Carola has worked in different fields throughout her life, being one of the most transcendental, Communications for International Development at one of the largest humanitarian networks around the globe  with which she still contributes now and then. She is quite a dedicated entrepreneur nowadays, work that she combines with her photography and producing this site as well as and her shop (both in construction). She also volunteers for in where she subedits her photographs with positive thoughts from their profound philosophy of life.

Thy Nefelibata is a visual and verbal record of Carola’s travels and a personal manifesto about life and arts.

One of her favourite quotes is that by Thomas Merton: “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”
