\"Style<\/a>I was going through my India archives and I found this photo. This photo was taken behind the Taj Mahal itself. What I particularly like about this picture is how it shows three people of the same nationality (not me, of course) and yet with their own style and expression. This brings me to the words style and fashion. Many people when faced with the word fashion get all this discourse about superficiality and consumerism, I would rather use the word style. To me “Style is not a display of wealth but an expression of imagination” (1).<\/p>\n

PS. A funny anecdote is that various people at the Taj Mahal that day asked me to please be in their photo (I think that explains why I am holding my own hands as an expression of shyness). I was explained that they thought I was somebody important, they thought so because of the dress I was wearing, which was a custom made dress I had commisioned\u00a0 a day before in Jaipur… aaaah life anecdotes. I guess that also explains this simple being happy smile :).<\/p>\n

PS. Again, I love how one photograph can express itself in different ways just by changing tones.<\/p>\n
